we're digitalis, who the hell are you?
digitalis was started in early 2003 by brad rose and eden hemming rose. soon after, the limited cd-r offshoot called foxglove was birthed (and later killed in late 2007). in mid-2007 we launched the digitalis arts & crafts editions (ace), and in january 2008 digitalis ltd became foxglove reincarnated and we started releasing tapes. in late 2008, we'll be doing our first vinyl release(s). there's also a publications side of things, but it's pretty infrequent. in addition to all this, we also publish the foxy digitalis webzine and update with new reviews, features, podcasts, & blog posts every single week.
ordering information
please use the catalog & pre-order pages to order. all prices include postage worldwide (if there is a price difference between domestic & international orders, it will be noted and separate 'add to cart' buttons provided for ordering ease). we ship all domestic orders first class or media mail and all overseas orders via airmail (the us postal service no longer offers surface mail for overseas). everything is in stock unless it is listed as sold-out, so you don't need to send an email or anything before you order to check availability. please note that we are a two-person operation (and really only one-person as of 8/2009) and we work other jobs (eden is also a full-time graduate student). we don't send order confirmations and such - paypal's receipts do a fine job of that and save everybody time. we try to ship orders the same week they are placed (we generally package things up over the weekend and ship on monday/tuesday), but sometimes it can take 2-3 weeks to get everything mailed. please be patient. we're doing the best we can. thank you. if you want things shipped within a day of being ordered, i suggest you check one of our fine distributors.
we also accept checks & money orders sent to our po box (address below). please make them payable to BRAD ROSE and send us an email, letting us know what you're ordering so that we can set copies of those releases aside for you and assure that they'll still be available in the time it takes the money to get here. if you want us to hold items for you (including those paying through paypal), we can do so but only for a maximum of two-weeks. sorry, but we've had too many people put stuff on "hold" for months, and that's not really fair to everyone else. as always, send us an email if you have any other questions. digital download versions of many releases are available from various sources, including a number of out-of-print titles.i realize that we haven't had much in the way of 'how to order' and other such info on the site until now, so my apologies for the vagueness of it all prior.
demos
**UPDATED FOR 2011**... we do accept demos and the only way we'll accept them at this point is either on cassette if you insist on sending a physical demo, or via an emailed sendspace/mediafire/whatever link. DO NOT email me mp3s b/c they'll clog up our mail server and generally annoy me, but do send me a link to download your tunes. i've got too many CDRs clogging up my desk so we're no longer accepting demos in that form. we will listen to every demo we get and get in touch if we like it and want to work on something with you.
