The press release for this LP maintains that it's a “modern variation of “Ritual Feast of the Libido” of [sic] Cromagnon,” and they pretty much hit the nail on the head. Shouted guttural mouth sounds are abundant throughout the proceedings, augmented by electronics, tape manipulation and a saxophone. This is some seriously damaged stuff!
Micro_Penis hails from Mulhouse, France and is composed of members Sébastien Borgo, Alexandre Kittel, François Heyer and Claude Spenlehauer. The art for this release, which was recorded between 2006 and 2008, is fantastic – it's a double-sided silk-screened piece of genius/madness. Insanity is pretty much the theme throughout this LP, not that there's anything wrong with that. If you crave the crazy end of the musical spectrum, then Micro_Penis – awful name and all – is for you. 6/10 --
